We are so close, and of course, rain is on the way. Eben finished the overbuild on the roof. We are waiting for an inspection tomorrow before we can sheet the rest of it. He also built the entry roof. All roofs are built (just about).

One step closer to being dried in...

We have a roof (well, almost)
We are starting to breathe a little easier around here (but not much). There is now plywood on the roof, and we are getting closer to having a place that can withstand the coming winter. Here's Eben putting on the first few sheets, which thankfully, went a lot easier than he was expecting. It's a steep slope.

A lot of heavy stuff...
So, progress has been slow or at least it feels that way. Zeb and I were out of town one weekend, so Eben couldn't get much done for awhile. We did get a lot done this weekend though. It rained all Friday night and Saturday, so we are feeling the push to get things dried in. The mudroom is there.
Pete, our amazing friend, helped Eben get the rest of the heavy rafters up. Eben says that now the really hard stuff is done.
Here's where we are at so far. It's cool to be able to get a vision of what it will look like when it's done.
Our windows arrived on Friday, just before the rain. Thankfully they stayed pretty dry. I'm pretty excited that they are red and can't wait to see them go in.
Eben brought home another new addition this weekend. We got an amazing deal on a hot tub, which we have always wanted. I told him it could be my birthday present! He did an incredible job of figuring out how to get a 1000 lb hot tub out of his truck with only Pete's help.
Poor Pete, he says his back always hurts after he leaves our house...no kidding!

And here it is, awaiting electrical and a few other touches.
So now, if you decide to come up and help out, we have a great tub to relax in.
